Since 2003, I have been employed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geoinformation, Photogrammetry and Environmental Remote Sensing in the Faculty of Mining Surveying and Environmental Engineering of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, Poland.
I graduated from the Faculty of Mining Surveying and Environmental Engineering in 1997, and was awarded the degree of M.Sc.Eng. in two fields:
- Industrial and Engineering Geodesy
- Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing
In 2003, the Board of the Faculty of Mining Surveying and Environmental Engineering granted me the Ph.D. degree in the fields of Surveying and Cartography.
The title of my Ph.D. dissertation was “The Influence of Scanning and JPEG Compression on the Detection of Linear and Point Objects in Digital Images,” and my dissertation supervisor was Prof. Józef Jachimski.
My scholarly interests include the following:
- photogrammetry and remote sensing
- laser scanning
- digital image processing
- computer graphics and programming (Matlab, Delphi, C++, Java)
- spatial information systems
- UAV technology
